| Maine Maple Sunday 2012 How Sweet It Was! Even though Maple Sunday was a bit rainy this year, we were all very pleased with the hundreds of folks that showed up in spite of the raindrops to enjoy our 2012 Maine Maple Sunday Celebration. Norm Karkos and the film crew from WMTW TV Channel 8 were on hand again this year for their Weekend Early Show as we prepared for the Celebration from 5am to 8pm to report on all the preparations for the day long Maine Maple celebration. The Grasshole Band was on hand for our patons enjoyment playing their bluegrass music while everyone feasted on our famous pancake breakfast and freshly made maple flavored donuts. A great time was had by all! |

That’s because University of Rhode Island
researcher Navindra Seeram, who
specializes in medicinal plant research, has
found more than 20 compounds in maple
syrup that have been linked to human
health, 13 of which are newly discovered in
maple syrup. In addition, eight of the
compounds have been found in the Acer
(maple) family for the first time...
